For Educators and School Teams
Know what students need to learn—and what comes next.
Phased Mastery™ helps educators break down standards into clear learning progressions—so you can see how learning builds, choose lessons with purpose, and plan together with greater confidence.
Bringing the Pieces Together
A clearer view of learning. A shared foundation for planning.
You have lessons, resources, and ideas. Learning progressions help you see how they fit together—so you and your team can make purposeful choices about what students need next.
Understand the Learning
What are students working toward?
Make the knowledge, skills, and understanding within a standard visible—and see how they build toward the learning goal.
Notice Student Understanding
What are students showing us?
Connect student work and explanations to the progression to identify understanding, emerging connections, and areas needing support.
Plan With Purpose
What makes sense to teach next?
Use that shared understanding to discuss lesson choices, exchange ideas, and plan next steps with the curriculum and resources you already have.

From the Classroom
I wanted to feel clearer about what I was teaching, too.
I’m Kallie Ash, an elementary teacher with eleven years in the classroom and the founder of Phased Mastery™. I had lessons, resources, and plenty of ideas—but I didn’t always clearly see how the learning built toward the standard. At times, that left me feeling overwhelmed and discouraged, even when I was working hard to get it right.
Learning progressions gave me a clearer foundation for planning and more focused conversations with my team. I created Phased Mastery™ to support educators in building that understanding and using it to guide their own instructional decisions.
